How I Work

How I Work

I see myself as a guide — not the expert on your body. You are.

My role is to help you untangle external rules and internalized narratives so you can begin to hear your own signals again. We move at a pace that honors safety and curiosity.

I draw from evidence-based practices including CBT and ACT, but these are frameworks — not formulas. The heart of the work is rebuilding trust, developing interoceptive awareness, and cultivating a compassionate relationship with food and your body.

My approach is collaborative, individualized, and trauma-aware.

Eating behaviors make sense in context. Rather than judging or correcting patterns, I focus on understanding what they are managing or protecting first — and then we build new supports from there.

Core elements of my approach include:

• non-judgmental, shame-sensitive care
• collaborative pacing and goal setting
• nervous system and safety awareness
• flexibility over rigid compliance
• practical skill building alongside nutrition support
• respect for client autonomy and readiness

I practice from a non-diet, weight-inclusive framework and support clients in moving away from rigid food rules toward steadier, more sustainable patterns.

Recovery is not forced — it is built.

Referrals & Collaboration

I welcome collaboration with therapists, physicians, college counseling centers, and other providers. With client consent, coordinated care improves safety and outcomes in eating disorder treatment.

I provide outpatient nutrition therapy and screen for medical and psychiatric stability. When a higher level of care is needed, I assist with appropriate referrals.

If you are a provider and would like to discuss referral fit, please feel free to contact me.
